Busch s is a local, privately held chain of supermarkets headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich. Established in 1975, Busch s operates more than 12 stores throughout Michigan under the banner, Busch s Valu Land. Its stores feature various departments, such as grocery, fresh produce, meat, deli, frozen food, dairy products, seafood and floral. It has a production facility located in Clinton, Mich. Busch s is a Spartan wholesaler affiliate and employs more than 1,000 associates. It is the Michigan s first supermarket chain to receive FreshCheck certification from NSF International, which is known for the development of standards, product testing and certification services in the areas of public health, safety and protection of the environment. Busch s stores provide outdoor catering services and a variety of gourmet foods through its in-store Josephine s Kitchen.
