S.R. Butler High School is a part of Huntsville City Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. S.R. Butler High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, business education, and family and consumer science. The school also provides foreign language courses in Spanish and offers sessions in fine arts and health and physical education. It operates several student organizations, including the National Honor Society, an academic team and band, as well as art, drama, Spanish and science clubs. In addition, the school provides several sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, and track and field. S.R.
