Ferrell, MD, FAAP Before opening her own practice, Dr. Ferrell practiced pediatrics at The Baton Rouge Clinic for 10 years. She completed the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2003. In 2000, Dr. Ferrell earned her M.D. at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She received her B.S. in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in 1995. Dr. Ferrell resides in Baton Rouge with her husband Ben and their three sons. When she's not at the clinic, Dr. Ferrell can be found on a tennis court, jogging, or traveling with her family. She recently completed her second marathon in November 2014 in New York City. This past summer, the Ferrell family and their pop-up camper enjoyed a month-long vacation all over the western U.S., where they visited Yellowstone National Park, Redwood National Park, Crater Lake in Oregon, and Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, just to name a few destinations. As the oldest of five siblings, Dr. Ferrell has been caring for children her entire life. She looks forward to helping you care for yours, too.
