Founded in 1997 CAMBA is a full-service, nonprofit agency providing a continuum of services to more than 30,000 individuals each year. Its mission is to enable low-income individuals and families to become economically and socially self-sufficient by stabilizing and expanding the economy of the community. In addition, the organization works with local merchants and entrepreneurs to encourage economic development. CAMBA s programs and services include adult and family literacy classes, business and community economic development efforts, a wide range of family support services, HIV/AIDS and health-related services, a variety of housing services, several immigration and refugee programs, an array of low-cost and no-cost legal services, and a number of workforce and youth development programs. CAMBA maintains its operational offices in Brooklyn, N.Y.
