American Institute for Cancer Research, founded in 1982, is an organization conducting research on diet and cancer and educating the public about the results. AICR provides a wide range of educational programs to help people make dietary changes for lower cancer risk. Its award-winning New American Plate program is presented in brochures, seminars and on its Web site. AICR operates on a global level through its membership in the World Cancer Research Fund International and provides monetary contribution for researches conducted at universities, hospitals and research centers throughout the United States.
