Capella University is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Capella Education Company, which was established in 1991 as the online post-secondary education services company. The University provides online doctoral, master s and bachelor s degree programs in various disciplines, such as business, information technology, education, human services, nursing, psychology, public administration, etc. It employs more than 1,400 administrative staff at Minnesota and more than 1,100 faculty members throughout the United States. The educational entity offers learners with a variety of payment options, such as employers reimbursement, loans, grants, scholarships and federal financial aid. The University offers more than 1,250 online courses to approximately 37,000 learners. Capella University holds accreditation by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
