Established in 1981, Capital Area Food Bank of Texas provides food and grocery products to 370 partner agencies in 21 central Texas counties. In addition to providing weekly food distribution, CAFB conducts several programs such as the backpack program, choices nutrition education program, fresh food for families, kids caf , healthy options program for the elderly, meat and perishable food program and regional food delivery. Capital Area Food Bank of Texas is headquartered in Austin.
