Care Resource

Care Resource is one of South Florida's oldest and largest HIV and AIDS service organizations, serving Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The organization is a subsidiary of Community AIDS Resource, and was formed by the merger of Community Research Initiative and Health Crisis Network. It has initiated more than 60 clinical trials and enrolled nearly 3,500 patients since 1989. Health Crisis Network offers prevention and treatment education, anonymous and confidential counseling and testing, case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling and treatment, specialized counseling for children and adolescents infected and affected by HIV and AIDS, and peer advocacy programs. Care Resource s evaluation services unit evaluates the effectiveness of outreach interventions, and provides technical assistance to program managers in data collection and analysis. Its client screening process includes collecting client information necessary to establish eligibility for services. Care Resource is located in Miami.
