Catholic Health Initiatives, a Colorado nonprofit corporation, was formed by the combination of four Catholic health care systems, Catholic Health Corporation, Franciscan Health System, Sisters of Charity Health Care Systems and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Health System. Various nonprofit and for-profit corporations and other organizations, including limited liability companies and limited partnerships that own and operate health care facilities and provide health care-related services in 19 states, are controlled or owned by or affiliated with the corporation and are part of the credit group. Members of the credit group currently own and operate nearly 70 acute care hospitals and more than 50 other sites, including long-term care, elder care, housing, primary care and other services. Catholic Health Initiatives maintains a location in Denver.
