Founded in 1978 by Arthur H. Goodman, CDC Small Business Finance is a nonprofit organization and one of the largest financers for small businesses in the United States. The agency serves companies in California, Arizona and Nevada. It has provided loans of more than $5 billion and has partnerships with over 100 private lending institutions. CDC Small Business Finance offers fixed-rate and commercial real estate loans for the purchase of office and industrial buildings. The agency also provides a variety of community loan programs focusing on women-, minority- and veteran-owned businesses. It offers direct capital loan programs that provide financing through Community Reinvestment Fund to help small businesses.
