Established in 1997, Cedarwood School offers educational programs in Waldorf education, a nonsectarian school movement implemented in more than 800 schools in over 35 countries. The school enrolls up to grade eight students and offers various special subjects, such as Spanish, Japanese, music, choir, eurhythmy, handwork, games, woodwork, physical education, and dramatization of a fairy tale, fable and legend. Its academic curriculum includes composition, spelling, grammar, literature, short stories and plays, algebra, geometry, world economic geography, meteorology and climatology, American history, physics, chemistry, astronomy, physiology, and Roman and medieval history. It provides various sports programs as well, such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer, hockey, tennis, softball, track and meet, cross-country and swimming.
