Established in 1985, Center for Clean Air an independent nonprofit entity, offering various programs to promote and implement solutions to major environmental and energy problems that balance both environmental and economic interests. The center has formed a national air quality and climate dialogue to create more informed policy decisions on multiemissions approaches for the power sector. This dialogue applies technical analyses from a variety of sources to build a common understanding of the effects of alternative multipollutant policy designs and to identify possible middle-ground solutions. Through a combination of technical analysis and facilitation, Center for Clean Air works with various states at different stages of climate change action to advance climate change programs. This initiative addresses greenhouse gases emissions from all sectors of the economy, including transportation and land use, electricity generation, industry, buildings, agriculture and forestry, and examines the full range of controlling measures.
