Center on Halsted serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community s diverse social, recreational, cultural and social service needs by offering various programs and services. Its services include support groups for youth and seniors, psychotherapy services, an information line for LGBT individuals and a hotline for HIV and sexually transmitted disease concerns. It additionally provides prevention, treatment and advocacy programs related to domestic violence, and a range of life-enrichment programs. It offers the Horizons Youth Program for youth between 13- to 24-years, and various mental health services and programs, including the Anti-Violence Project, and its free and confidential STD, HIV and AIDS help line provides callers with up-to-date, medically-accurate information on STDs, HIV and AIDS emotional support, and state-wide referrals for health care and social services related to STDs, HIV and AIDS. It additionally provides various community-based programs. Center on Halsted is located in Chicago.
