Founded in 1969, Central Valley Regional Center is a private, nonprofit corporation, funded by the state of California to provide services to persons with developmental disabilities. Located in Fresno, Calif., the center offers a wide variety of services, such as diagnostic evaluations, case management, client advocacy and lifetime planning. It also makes arrangements for various services, including specialized medical treatment, dental and psychological tests, physical therapy, infant development programs, specialized education and 24-hour residential care. Additionally, its services include vocational rehabilitation, sheltered workshops, respite and day care, activity programs, genetic counseling, and independent and supported living services. Central Valley Regional Center provides services in Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced and Tulare counties in California.
