United Cerebral Palsy of Southeastern Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults affected by cerebral palsy, autism, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy and cognitive disabilities. It employs advocacy specialists who provide assistance with self-advocacy skills in areas, such as understanding services, addressing service problems, public information and awareness, voting and political action. The organization operates a job keeping club that supports individuals in developing and maintaining social and personal interaction skills and offers opportunities for problem solving issues related to employment. The Independent Living Program (ILP) of United Cerebral Palsy of Southeastern Wisconsin assists adults with self-care, self-direction, budgeting and other independent living skills. The organization is located in Milwaukee and has been operational for more than 50 years.
