Informations
Cerebral Palsy of Colorado has been in operation for nearly 60 years. Its services include Creative Options, its gateway program for early education services; Employment Works, an assertive program to help youth and adults, who otherwise would be isolated, experience the opportunity to work and achieve independence; and lastly, its Statewide Services department. CP of Colorado also supports the community and the environment through a complete recycling service for clothing, small household items, small furniture, appliances, cell phones, printer/fax cartridges and vehicles of all kinds. When the company first started, initial programs included parental support and socialization opportunities in the context of a loving, caring community setting, followed by opportunities for education. By 1953, the Founding Mothers had formed an organization called Cerebral Palsy Association, and opened the doors to the first school in Colorado for children with disabilities.
