Founded in 1958, Chappell Child Development Center is a drug-and smoke-free campus and serves students in kindergarten through grade nine. The center offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon snacks. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The center offers foreign language and arts and crafts classes and computer laboratory training. It organizes summer camps that include activities, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, skating, bowling and hiking and also arranges movies, picnics and cookout sessions. The center partners with the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Education, Citibank, America Online and Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Chappell Child Development Center maintains a location in Jacksonville, Fla.
