North Charleston Wannamaker County Park is a community park designed for family and group use. It offers more than 1,000-acres of woodlands and wetlands, with picnic sites and grills located throughout the park. It offers two playgrounds, more than 7-acres of grassy open meadows, a 20-foot play hill, 2-miles of paved trails for walking, biking and skating, a seasonal water play area, park center with snack bar, restrooms, and large patios, and a park office to provide information and passes. Amenities available at the park include Whirlin Waters Adventure Water Park, bicycle rentals, pedal boat and kayak rentals, and group function meeting areas.
