The Chestnut Street Family YMCA provides membership opportunities for adults, youths and senior citizens. The organization conducts exercise classes and physical activity programs. It has a gymnasium, fitness center and locker rooms. The Chestnut Street Family YMCA also rents its facilities for parties, conferences, wedding receptions and banquets. Its ballroom can accommodate up to 250 people. The organization administers the Always Welcome at YMCAs (AWAY) program. It organizes a range of events, such as family camps and night outs, as well as offers child care services. The Chestnut Street Family YMCA administers the Black Achievers program, which educates youths about various career fields in the business industry. It is a part of the YMCA Louisville.
