Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters is a nonprofit organization that represents more than 47,000 men and women in over 80 counties in northern Illinois, southeast Wisconsin and eastern Iowa. Members of the organization include residential carpenters, exhibit and display installers, interior systems carpenters, cabinetmakers and millworkers, flooring installers, pile drivers, insulation installers, roofers, siding installers, concrete former, and heavy and highway carpenters. Located in Chicago, the organization offers various benefits to its members, including health care coverage, collective bargaining, contract-established wage rates, vacation and holidays, approved pension and retirement savings plan, and placement services. It also provides pre-apprentice training, which covers construction math, blueprint reading, safety training and other basic work practices.
