Founded in 1998, the Children s Healthcare of Atlanta is a nonprofit organization with more than 30 pediatric specialties in Atlanta. Its Aflac Cancer Center treats children with sickle cell disease, hemophilia and other blood-related disorders. Its Sibley Heart Center provides cardiac services for individuals suffering from congenital and acquired heart diseases. Its emergency doctors, nurses, technicians and other medical professionals treat children using specialized pediatric medical procedures, supplies and equipment. Its neonatal intensive care unit provides care for high-risk newborns in a specialized environment with access to more than 400 clinical providers in more than 30 pediatric, medical and surgical specialties. Its orthopedics services include orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, scoliosis, spine disorders, fractures, trauma, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular conditions, hip disorders and limb deficiency. Its pulmonology program provides care for children of all ages with respiratory problems, including asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep disorders.
