Children's Nutrition Research Center, located in Houston, is one of the federally funded human nutrition research centers in the United States. It conducts scientific investigations into the role of maternal, infant and child nutrition in health, development and growth. The agency is operated by Baylor College of Medicine in cooperation with Texas Children's Hospital and the Agricultural Research Service of the Department of Agriculture. Children's Nutrition Research Center s research facility has a live-in metabolic unit, an energy metabolism laboratory, and stable isotope and substrate analytical laboratories. The facility also has a body composition laboratory, an eating behavior observation laboratory and plant physiology laboratory.
