Choice Concrete Company was formed in October of 2005, out of a need for a high quality, service-provider in the Middle Georgia area. Many of the locally owned concrete companies had been purchased by large conglomerates, therefore leaving a void in the market for the family-owned, locally-managed business that had once served the concrete needs of local contractors.The first plant, located in Byron's industrial park, went on-line in December 2005. Sales steadily increased throughout the first few months, creating a need for more trucks to service both commercial and residential projects in the area.Increased sales and job demand prompted the need for a second plant to service areas north of Byron. Thus began the search for property in Macon's downtown commercial district. Construction began immediately to clear the land and within 2 months the plant was operational. The Choice Concrete Macon plant went on-line in February 2007 and services projects throughout Middle Georgia.
