Founded in 1996, Christel House International is a nonprofit organization that provides education, food, shelter and medical care services for children. It serves more than 2,600 students and has a staff of over 250 employees, as well as operates nearly five learning centers in Mexico, India, South Africa, Venezuela and the United States. The organization provides skills development, vocational training, career counseling, interview preparation, workplace integration and financial support services. It additionally offers internship, scholarship and job placement assistance programs. The center organizes various educational workshops on topics, such as conflict resolution, nutrition, hygiene, family planning, parenting skills and HIV/AIDS. It also provides counseling services for children in cases related domestic violence, substance abuse and sexual harassment. Christel House International is located in Indianapolis.
