Christiana Hospital

Christiana Care Health System, located in Newark, Del., is one of the largest health care providers in the Middle Atlantic region, serving Delaware and portions of seven counties bordering the state in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. The nonprofit, privately owned family of services includes two hospitals comprising Christiana Hospital and Wilmington Hospital. The institutions offer more than 1,000 licensed hospital beds, and a regional center for heart and vascular health. It also offers Level-1 trauma services on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore. In addition, the hospitals provide 24-hour emergency medical services at both centers.
