Christopher House is a seven-site family resource center, which aims to help children, families and individuals in need through integrated social, educational and human service programs. Through child and youth development, parent enrichment, literacy, counseling and emergency services, Christopher House provides support to children and their families. It assists more than 500 children everyday, developing early literacy skills, and treats and prevents social development obstacles through individual counseling. It also promotes academic success by providing elementary and high school students with one-on-one tutoring, and develop the developmental assets in youth, and provide young people safe and structured educational and recreational activities after school hours. Christopher House has seven locations in Chicago.
