Founded in 1975, City Honors School serves the educational needs of students in grades five through 12. It offers a range of sports activities that includes volleyball, cross country, soccer, cheerleading, basketball, bowling, hockey, track, tennis, crew and rugby. The school offers advanced placement classes in English language and literature, European and American history, and government and politics. Its curriculum also includes classes in statistics, biology, physics, music theory and studio art. The language courses offered by the school include French and Spanish. It has several clubs and organization that include student council, yearbook, multicultural and ski clubs. The school library has a collection of more than 3000 fiction books and also offers magazines and curriculum guides. City Honors School is located in Buffalo, N.Y.
