The Patrol Division is operated by the North Little Rock Police Department, which is a law enforcement agency. The division is responsible for responding and handling emergency and nonemergency calls. The Patrol Division operates various substations. The North Little Rock Police Department also maintains an investigations division that handles property, juvenile and sex crimes, as well as investigates selling and manufacturing of illegal drugs. The department maintains a citizen s police academy that provides the working knowledge of the police department to residents. Additionally, it investigates vehicle accidents and offers online accident reporting services. The North Little Rock Police Department employs a staff of more than 190 sworn and nonsworn officers.
