Established in 1968, the Civitan Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of social services for people who suffer from developmental disabilities. The organization supports the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities, Southwest Leadership Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, and Arizona Nutrition Network. The Civitan Foundation features a large-screen television, outdoor fire pit, kitchen and restrooms. The organization also maintains a recreation hall with pingpong, air hockey, pool table, foosball and exercise equipment. The Civitan Foundation operates Camp Civitan, which provides respite care services. Camp Civitan organizes several recreational activities, such as social outings and arts and crafts sessions.
