Central New Mexico Community College, also known as CNM, was established in 1965. It is one of the largest postsecondary education institutions in New Mexico. The college enrolls more than 20,000 students every year and has over three campuses and a work force training center. Central New Mexico Community College offers certificate and degree programs in nearly 90 areas including applied technologies, mathematics, science, engineering, humanities, business and information technology, health, wellness and public safety, and educational and career advancement. It also provides associate s degrees and certificates in various vocational occupations, arts and science. The college provides courses through various mediums, such as distance learning education and classroom instruction. Additionally, the college offers concurrent enrollment and college and career bound programs for high school-age students and operates the Emeritus Academy for learners aged 50 and older.
