CCA Texas is a nonprofit organization offering various programs and services for the conservation of Texas' marine resources. Operational for more than 25 years, CCA Texas has been instrumental in banning gill nets in state waters, establishing redfish and speckled trout, such as gamefish, building two of the largest red drum hatcheries in the world, and working to ensure adequate freshwater reaches Texas' bays and estuaries. CCA Texas addresses key marine conservation issues on all levels, working with local, state, federal and international management agencies to ensure the proper conservation of Texas coastal marine resources. The organization has been involved with the Texas Abandoned Crab Trap Pickup Project with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and various state and federal agencies and conservation interests. CCA Texas is located in Houston.
