Cocopah Middle School, governed by the Scottsdale Unified School District, serves students in grades six through eight. Established in 1965, the school conducts classes in math, science, social studies, foreign languages, physical education and language arts. Cocopah Middle School offers extracurricular activities, such as music, drama and visual arts. It also administers a gifted and talented education program, as well as provides psychological and speech language therapy services. The school offers counseling and prevention services to students through the Scottsdale Prevention Institute. Cocopah Middle School coordinates an after-school program through Oxford Learning Centers. Additionally, it offers sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball and basketball. The school maintains Bible and Tech clubs, as well as provides membership opportunities in the National Junior Honor Society.
