Colorado Academy located in Denver, serves students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Founded in 1906, the academy is and independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school. It has lower, middle and upper schools serving more than 850 schools on a 94-acre campus. The school offers various facilities, including libraries, science and computer laboratories, art studios, athletic amenities, an online book store, music center and a theater. Its curriculum includes various fine and performing arts programs, such as drama, music, set designing and program lighting. The academy offers a wide variety of athletic programs, including soccer, field hockey, Frisbee, cross country, tennis, volleyball, baseball, swimming, golf and lacrosse. The academy s library has more than 28,000 print and nonprint volumes, over 12 subscriptions, an online database and internet access. The academy is approved by the Colorado Department of Education and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
