The Colorado Marrow Donor Program helps to facilitate stem cell and marrow transplants to patients with blood-related diseases. The program also recruits donors for the National Marrow Donor Registry. It has facilitated more than 30 blood stem cell and marrow matches, as well as placed over 2,500 potential marrow donors in Colorado. Located in Denver, the Colorado Marrow Donor Program is a part of the Bonfils Blood Center. The center is a health care system that operates various community donor centers and serves approximately 200 health care facilities in Colorado. In addition, it collects nearly 200,000 units of blood annually.
