Established in 1977, Community Living Opportunities serves more than 300 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Douglas and Johnson counties in Kansas. It has facilities in Overland Park and Lawrence, Kan., and offers targeted case management and residential services that include day services, behavioral consultation, children's services, health care services, organizational behavior management consulting, and family-teaching and extended family-teaching homes. Its health care services include wellness clinic services, wellness monitoring, and occupational and physical therapy. Additionally, Community Living Opportunities implements several unique treatment models developed in partnership with the applied behavioral sciences department at the University of Kansas. These models include the family teaching model, the quality of life planning, early childhood autism program and the family enhancement program.
