Community Music Center is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization founded in 1921 with the mission of making music accessible to all people.It provides a wide range of services that include event music, sound recording, and instrument and concert hall rental services. The amenities offered by the center include concert and recital hall and practice rooms. The center organizes a variety of events and concert programs. CMC also provides music education to more than 2,200 students annually. It offers training in folk, jazz, rock, salsa, and classical and nonclassical music. CMC provides financial assistance services and offers instruction and special summer programs. Community Music Center is sponsored by many foundations, corporations and organizations that include California Arts Council.
