Health Services Hours & Appointments Community of Hope For 30 years, Community of Hope has worked tirelessly to improve the health and quality of life for low-income, homeless and underserved families and individuals in District of Columbia. Our holistic range of programs ' from healthcare and housing with supportive services to educational opportunities and spiritual support ' provide hope and stability to the adults and children who need these services. We ended our "$30, 000 in 30 Days" campaign on September 30 with a celebration of hope with friends old and new, including our founder, Tom Nees. Rain nor wind could keep the 100+ guests from joining WUSA Channel 9 Anchor Lesli Foster, Platinum Sponsor Freddie Mac, and Gold Sponsors MeadWestvaco and National Air Traffic Controllers Association. Chefs Jeff Tunks of Passion Foods ( parent of Ceiba Restaurant ) and Logan Cox of New Heights greeted guests who sampled their food, along with delicious bites from Finemondo Italian Country Kitchen and cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. Yost Conner, Partner at Patton Boggs and Community of Hope volunteer, talks about why he provides more than 125 hours of pro bono services each year in Capital Business section of the Washington Post. Click here [ PDF ] to read the article. Community of Hope will build a new Health and Resource Center in Ward 8, thanks to funding from the DC Primary Care Association and the Department of Health. Ward 8 has been identified as an area in great need of an additional community health center. Today marks an important first step with the purchase of the property. Read the full Press Release here. Health Services employees have been working since March to transition all paitent records to the new electronic format, which went live on July 26th! Despite the hard work, we believe the benefits of EHR are well worth it. Click here to read on about the many advantages for both our patients and our providers.
