Founded in 1983, Cornerstone is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides support services to women, men and children who are victims of domestic violence. The organization s programs include emergency safe housing, legal services, transitional housing, counseling and support for children and teens who have witnessed family violence. Cornerstone provides emergency shelter to individuals in need. Its community programs serve residents of the Richfield, Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and St. Louis Park counties in Minnesota. In addition, Cornerstone offers school-based programs that include classroom presentations, resources and one-on-one and group support to help youth identify and deal with gender issues, anger, control, abuse and violence in relationships. Cornerstone is located in Minneapolis.
