Founded in 1999, the Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery Center performs more than 2,500 surgeries every year. It employs a work force of over 100 people. The center specializes in the areas of gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthamology, orthopedics, podiatry and urology. It performs procedures for ear, nose and throat, as well as pediatric and plastic surgeries. The Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery Center is an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International. It is fully licensed by the Federal Medicare Program. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission. It is managed by United Surgical Partners International, which owns and operates short-stay surgical centers and hospitals in the United States and the United Kingdom. United Surgical Partners International manages nearly 160 facilities.
