Dr. Gary Jacobs graduated from University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1972, and then attended UT Health Science Center, in Houston, Texas obtaining his MD in 1975. He then completed a surgical internship at St. Louis University in 1976, a Jr. residency in general surgery at the University of Missouri in 1978, was a research assistant in the microvascular lab at University of Missouri in 1979, and completed a general surgery and thoracic surgery residency in 1981. Dr Jacobs completed his Plastic Surgery residency at UT Health Science Center, in Dallas, TX in 1983 and became board certified in Plastic Surgery in 1986. He is an active member of Texas Medical Association, Gregg/Upshur County Medical Association, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and Lipoplasty Society of North America. He is a clinical instructor in Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical School Dr. Philip Hawner graduated from the University of Virginia in 1987 and then attended Medical College of Virginia obtaining his MD in 1991. He trained in General Surgery from 1991 to 1994 at Tulane University, was clinical burn fellow at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland from 1994 to 1995 and then completed his Plastic Surgery residency at University of Mississippi in 1997. He became board certified in Plastic Surgery in 1999, and has been re-certified in Plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2009. He is an active member of Texas Medical Association, Gregg/Upshur County Medical Association, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and American College of Surgeons.
