The Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland is a private, nonprofit organization. It provides services to the low-income people of Greater Cleveland and Cuyahoga County in Ohio. As an anti-poverty agency, it brings together in one organization a broad array of federal, state and local programs and services that address the needs of low-income children and families. The organization offers various educational, training and family development activities to promote economic self-sufficiency. Its work force development program is designed to help people overcome the digital divide to compete for jobs. The program includes job-readiness and customer service training, computer studies and various placement services.
