The Engineering and Construction Division of Allegheny County is responsible for the improvement of county s roads, bridges, buildings and parks. The division also provides engineering and architectural services to other division and departments of the county. It provides bridge inspection, contract processing and surveying services, as well as maintains plan records. The Engineering and Construction Division of Allegheny County also issues bridge permits. The division has a work force of more that 30 employees and is located in Pittsburgh. It undertakes over $25 million of capital improvement projects annually. The Engineering and Construction Division of Allegheny County is divided in to architecture, roads, bridges, construction, geotechnical, plans and contracts sections.
