The Summit County Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement services. The office operates through administration, operations and corrections divisions. It maintains and develops educational programs that enhance the overall operation of the office. The operations division is responsible for answering complaints from the public and verifying and following through with investigations of illegal drug activities. The division coordinates investigations with other county agencies. Its administrative division offers personnel, finance, community relations, legal affairs and internal audit services. The Summit County Sheriff's Office also maintains a registered sex offenders list.
