Covenant House is a child care agency. Established in 1972, it offers residential support services to homeless and runaway youth less than 21 years of age. The organization offers its services throughout United States, including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington and Philadelphia. It also provides services in Toronto, Vancouver, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. Covenant House offers food, shelter, clothing and crisis care to more than 70,000 youths. Additionally, it provides a variety of other services, including health care, education, vocational preparation, drug abuse treatment and prevention programs. Its community service centers undertakes outreach programs. It provides chapel and prayer programs, 24-hour helpline and counseling services for parents and children. Covenant House also published and distributes several books.
