Crimson Exploration Operating is an independent oil and gas company based in Houston. Crimson s operations are concentrated in the United States' Gulf Coast region. The company owns and operates more than 280 wells located in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana and Mississippi, and had estimated proved reserves of 130 Bcfe of natural gas equivalents. The company's major properties are in Liberty County, Texas (the Felicia Fields), the SW Speaks Field in Lavaca County, Texas, the Cage Ranch Field in Brooks County, Texas and the Iowa Field area in southwest Louisiana. Crimson also has emerging plays in south Texas and south central Texas and 14,000 gross acres of potential in the DJ Basin in Colorado. Crimson's proved reserves are 75 percent proved developed producing, 70 percent natural gas, and 84 percent operated.
