The CrossRoads4Hope Foundation (CR4HF) is in the process of establishing eight homes, for battered women, every twelve months in communities across the forty-eight contiguous states of the USA. Each home is a place of refuge and renewal for abused women and their children. Our MISSION STATEMENT: To promote freedom, discernment, hope, and wisdom from the tyranny of abuse, by the integrity exercised within the attitudinal framework of the respect for humanity, love for God, His Word, and His purpose for all human-kind. CrossRoads4Hope Foundation is able to offer educational support, employment opportunities, counseling services, and relocation assistance as may be needed. Each home is designed for three to five families with a one year transitional plan tailored for each family's needs. Obviously there can never be a &ldquocookie-cutter&rdquo directive that demands adherence to a particular &ldquoprogram,&rdquo as we are all individuals with particular needs and opportunities to address. Neither is there an ad-hock syllabus requiring attention to a &ldquoone-size-fits-all&rdquo approach. Each of us have a need to be recognized individually to draw upon our unique strengths, and weaknesses. To achieve a cohesive family unit that willingly contributes to productive growth of the individual, we positively encourage our participants to realize their unique qualities and potential. The reason so many are providing meals, shelter, or clothing as the climax to their efforts is because it isn't that difficult a task to accomplish, heroic as it really is. However, the leading of the individual to the next level requites teaching, training, transforming, and transitioning. A maintenance mentality needs to be supplemented be a REAL (Relevant to our culture, Effective in our planning, Accountable to our purpose, Loving in our conduct) process. Through carefully selected and well established ministries, we offer relief for the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of our residents in our quest to fulfill a moral and social responsibility. At each Kathryn's House the families have a qualified support staff that responds to their fears, concerns, and needs. Unashamedly our REAL life caring process has its roots in a passage of Scripture that begins with, &ldquoWisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars&rdquo (Proverbs (1-6).
