Founded in 1957, CVT Surgical Center offers a range of advanced surgical treatment for heart, vascular and lung disorders. It specializes in cardiac, vascular, thoracic and esophageal surgeries. The center s thoracic surgery includes thoracotomy, lobectomy, lung biopsy, pneumonectomy and apical bleb resection. The center employs more than 100 people. It also operates a vascular laboratory that utilizes advanced imaging and peripheral vascular evaluation equipment to perform several procedures. Additionally, the center s laboratory provides noninvasive vascular testing at hospitals, private clinics and nursing homes. Located in Baton Rouge, La., CVT Surgical Center maintains a fleet of special vans that transport equipment to physician offices and surrounding hospitals.
