Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is open to the public year-round and has more than 14,000 members and over 1,600 volunteers. The arboretum exists to build and maintain a public botanic garden and arboretum, which promotes the art, enjoyment and knowledge of horticulture, while providing opportunities for education and research. It is supported by the city of Dallas Park and Recreation Department. It features more than 500 creations depicting a cultural interpretation of the nativity and offers various programs for families that include fun Sundays and horse-drawn carriage rides. The additional programs offered by the arboretum also include holiday heroes, ultimate tree house and Dallas Blooms, which is a celebration of spring season. It also organizes plant sale where visitors can choose the best plants from the sale whose collection is based on results from the plant trials and its display gardens. It is located in Dallas.
