Dave Simon's Rock School creates an environment for young people to discover the joys of music through the experience of playing, performing and studying rock music. The school's curriculum involves both private lessons and a performing rock band program. Students build their skill set in private lessons as they work towards placement in one of the school's three rock band programs. Band placement is determined by the student?s performance on their musical skill assessment which is administered by their private instructor. Beginning level students are placed into Rock Band 101 which performs a seasonal concert at Rock School. Our intermediate level program, Concert Band, performs a seasonal concert in an afternoon concert at a local rock music venue. Our advanced level bands, All-Star Band, perform an evening rock concert at a local rock music venue.
