Founded in 1892, Denver Rescue Mission is one of the oldest full-service Christian charities, serving individuals in the Rocky Mountain region. It is a nondenominational charity providing shelter, food, clothing, education, Christian teaching and work discipline to meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals. The organization offers services through its facilities that include Harvest Farm, the Crossing, Champa House, Lawrence Street and the Ministry Outreach Center. The Crossing is a residential living facility offering the new life rehabilitation program for men, transitional housing for program for graduates and homeless families and housing for interns and visitors. Its flagship facility, Lawrence Street, is a men's shelter with more than 100 overnight beds and an outreach location offering meals, clothing, free health care and client services. Through its family services program, the mission offers permanent housing, transitional housing and mentoring for homeless, working families, seniors and refugee families.
